Passive and active investing, which one is best for you and your goals? On today’s episode, we talk with Camilla Jeffs, who is both a syndication general partner and a passive investor, about how passive investing might be the right fit for you and how to invest in in projects that generate not only a financial return, but a social and environmental return as well.
We discuss with Camilla how she began investing by house hacking 18 years ago and has since grown into larger passive investments. Camilla shares with us the difference between active and passive investments, the questions you should ask yourself when deciding between the two, and the power of feeling connected to the projects you invest in. She also shares great tips for how to get your children involved in your work and some details about her new project, an assisted living development.
With 18 years’ experience investing in Real Estate, Camilla Jeffs has implemented several strategies, with the most powerful being large multifamily and senior living. She built her own property management company, CRM software and loves investing in purposeful syndications. She believes in investing in projects that generate three types of returns: financial, social, and environmental which all leave an impact on your family, entire communities, and Mother Earth. Today, Camilla teaches busy professionals and entrepreneurs how to invest passively without the headaches of being a landlord. She is a dedicated mother of five children, Founder and CEO of Steady Stream Investments, a triathlete, and an advocate for women’s financial health. Her own family has benefited from investing in real estate and she is on a mission to provide the same for other families.
